Call Sounding Board ORD

On Tuesday, 28 October, the Lycée-Collège de la Planta in Sion was transformed into a veritable discovery laboratory during a TecDay organised by the SATW (Swiss Academy of Engineering Sciences). Almost 1000 pupils took part in 60 interactive and fun workshops on the STEM subjects (science, technology, engineering and mathematics).

Switzerland has topped international innovation rankings for years. However, high rankings say little about how successful innovations actually are. The decisive factor is not diligence, but the impact on the market. A critical perspective from Peter Seitz, Vice President of SATW.

When the lights are on late in the laboratory at the University of Applied Sciences of Eastern Switzerland, it's not lecturers who are tinkering, but students. The Racing OST team is enthusiastically working on developing an electric racing car - with support from SATW.
