Astronomy Roadmap for Research and Infrastructure 2025–2028 and beyond by the Swiss Astronomy and Astrophysics Community
This community roadmap provides an updated view of the fast evolution of astronomy in Switzerland, with a clear emphasis on major (and new) developments in the field and on the associated large infrastructure needs in the years 2025–2028 and beyond. It has been prepared by the Swiss Commission for Astronomy (SCFA) of the SCNAT acting as the bureau of CHAPS, the College of Helvetic Astronomy Professors.
The roadmap represents the view of the Swiss scientific community in the field of astronomy and astrophysics and is a formal element of the process to elaborate the Swiss Roadmap for Research Infrastructures 2023. This bottom-up contribution to the identification and selection of important national and international research infrastructures has been coordinated by the Swiss Academy of Sciences (SCNAT) on a mandate by the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI).

Où en est la Suisse dans sa réponse au changement climatique ? Le dernier rapport des Académies suisses des sciences naturelles (SCNAT) apporte une réponse à cette question. Il évalue en outre les risques futurs liés au changement climatique et propose un large éventail de mesures scientifiquement prouvées et efficaces pour la protection du climat et l'adaptation au changement climatique.

Comprendre et agir pour la biodiversité en Suisse
Le présent rapport dépeint de façon claire et différenciée l’état de la biodiversité en Suisse et les changements qu’elle a subis. Il s’appuie sur les données, les études et les connaissances spécialisées pour décrire l’évolution de la diversité biologique dans les différents milieux. L’accent est porté sur les changements intervenus ces 15 dernières années. Ce document met par ailleurs en évidence les principaux éléments agissant actuellement sur la biodiversité, et les événements politiques ou sociaux qui les accompagnent. Il présente enfin les voies que nous pouvons prendre pour que les générations à venir jouissent d’une base vitale fonctionnelle grâce à une abondante biodiversité.

Impact of AI on Early Career Researchers: Challenges, Opportunities and Responsibilities
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming science and is therefore profoundly reshaping the work of Early Career Researchers. Against this backdrop, the publication Impact of AI on Early Career Researchers: Challenges, Opportunities, and Responsibilities, developed by members of the Swiss Young Academy, namely Emmanuel Senft, Sabrina H. Kessler, Pamela Delgado, Devi Bühler, and Alexandre Bovet, offers a timely interdisciplinary reflection on these changes. The booklet examines both the opportunities and risks of AI across five key areas – research, teaching, science communication, policymaking, and sustainability – while also addressing critical issues such as research integrity, data privacy, misinformation, governance, and environmental impact. It further highlights the responsibilities of Early Career Researchers and higher education institutions in promoting AI literacy, transparency, ethical standards, and responsible use of AI in science.
