CHIPP Roadmap for Research and Infrastructure 2025-2028 and beyond by the Swiss Particle Physics Community
This community roadmap presents the visions for future research in particle and astroparticle physics in Switzerland and formulates the needs of these fields in terms of research infrastructure in the years 2025-2028 and beyond. It was established under the auspices of the Swiss Institute of Particle Physics (CHIPP), which issued its first roadmap already in 2004 and conducted dedicated roadmap-planning workshops in 2018 and 2020. The roadmap represents the view of the Swiss scientific community in the field of particle and astroparticle physics and is a formal element of the process to elaborate the Swiss Roadmap for Research Infrastructures 2023. This bottom-up contribution to the identification and selection of important national and international research infrastructures has been coordinated by the Swiss Academy of Sciences (SCNAT) on a mandate by the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI).

Innovative Teaching Formats at the Science-Society Interface: Reflections and Future Directions in Swiss Higher Education
Science-society dialogue is crucial for addressing pressing societal challenges. One important avenue for strengthening this link, in an inter- and transdisciplinary perspective, is teaching formats that encourage students to engage in the public sphere. However, an illustrative collection of best practices in Swiss higher education has been lacking so far. This practice-driven report draws on a non-exhaustive stocktake of existing courses in Switzerland and participatory workshops among lecturers. It features illustrative examples from Swiss higher education institutions and introduces a new typology of science-society teaching formats, offering educators a structured way to design and analyze courses across six dimensions. In addition, the publication discusses both the opportunities and challenges of implementing such teaching formats. To further advance science-society education, the report identifies three priority areas for action.

L’objectif est de présenter les interactions technologiques et institutionnelles de manière aisément compréhensible, de situer le rôle du stockage saisonnier dans le système énergétique suisse et d’identifier les principaux facteurs susceptibles d’influencer les besoins en stockage. Des options d’action et des orientations stratégiques sont également esquissées, lesquelles ouvrent la voie à un système énergétique résilient répondant aux variations des besoins saisonniers.

Les Académies suisses des sciences publient une nouvelle version de la Charte suisse de littératie des données en langage simple. Son but est d’aider la population suisse à évoluer de manière compétente dans le monde numérique et dans l’environnement des données.
